Is It Fall Yet?: Hot Weather Continues To Hit Maryland

This past winter I could do nothing but wait for summer.

I was tired of all the snow and ready to lay out around the pool in the sun.

Now, all I can say is “Is it fall yet?”

With this being one of the hottest summers I can remember, I have wondered if the hot weather has hurt or helped local businesses?

We saw with the blizzard how it affected businesses, by their need to close down because of the State of Emergency in effect.

But with all of the hot weather Maryland has felt this summer, I know one business who is doing well…

Air conditioning service contractors.

With days reaching up to 100 degrees, more and more A/C units start to fail —

Requiring a professional to fix the problem.

It would seem that A/C contractors would be working overtime right now —

Which, for them, is a good thing.

Also, many malls are seeing an increase in traffic, which could mean helping the economy.

The hotter it is outside, the more people want to shop inside.

How has the recent heat waves across Maryland affected your daily life?
